Important Update: Changes to Stand Approval Fees and Structures for 2025
Below are the important updates regarding stand approval fees and complex structure requirements for the IBC event. These changes are designed to streamline the approval process and ensure safety and compliance with event regulations.
Fee Increases for Stand Approvals:
1. SPI (Standard Plan Inspection) Fee for 2025 & 2026:
- The SPI fee for stand plans will now be £185 + VAT (if applicable).
- This rate applies for both 2025 and 2026 and represents a standard increase in line with rising operational costs.
2. Complex Structure Fee:
- The fee for complex structure stand plans will increase to £350 + VAT (if applicable).
Note: This fee applies to stands that meet the criteria of a “complex structure” (details below).
3. Euro Equivalent Fee:
- For exhibitors and stand builders paying in Euros, a Euro equivalent fee will be offered for both SPI and Complex Structure fees.
4. Competitive Pricing:
- We want to reassure you that, even with these increases, the fees for stand approval remain competitive and lower than those at many other events.
New Requirements for Stands Above 4m:
1. Complex Structure Classification:
- Any single-storey stand that measures over 4m from the hall floor to the top of the structure will be classified as a complex structure.
2. Additional Checks and Fees:
- If your stand is classified as a complex structure, it will require additional checks by Campbell Reith to ensure compliance with safety and design standards - Please note that additional fees will apply for these checks.
3. Exemption for Double Decker Stands:
- These changes do not apply to double-decker stands, as they follow a different set of guidelines.
What You Need to Do:
- Submit stand plans to Abraxys for approval, ensuring that you account for any relevant changes in your stand design.
- Be aware of the updated fees when submitting your plans for approval.
- If your stand exceeds 4m in height, be prepared for the additional checks required for complex structures, and budget accordingly for the associated fees.
- Take a look at the Stand Plan Submission Process guide for more information.
