The display, usage and/or charging of any Lithium Ion batteries during IBC2025 is strictly controlled via the RAI.
Below is a chart detailing the sizes and types of lithium ion batteries that are permitted to be used and actions that can be undertaken. This applies to both stand builders, during build-up/breakdown, and exhibitors during build-up, show days and breakdown. You can also download the chart as a pdf at the bottom of this article:
Exhibitors using lithium ion batteries - you need to declare the batteries you intend to display/use via the Health & Safety declaration. This form will be available in your E-Zone. The RAI will then confirm which batteries are permitted for display/usage on your stand. IMPORTANT: Exhibitors need to complete forms on behalf of any co-exhibitors or pavilion exhibitors and include their products/activities into your answers.
Stand builders/contractors using lithium ion batteries - you need to declare the batteries you intend to use via the stand plan submission. This form will be available in your E-Zone. The RAI will then confirm which batteries are permitted for use within the halls.
Special Activities, such as use of lithium ion batteries agreed in advance, will be subject to onsite inspections before they can be demonstrated. IBC/RAI/Abraxys reserve the right to inspect, switch off, remove items or close any stand(s) that have not declared any restricted item, not adhered to any conditions of use for restricted items or found to be exhibiting items that are deemed to be unsafe or carry an increased risk to the event. IBC/RAI/Abraxys decisions will be final.
